Lift is a global mentoring program designed to empower professionals by fostering meaningful relationships across all stages of their careers. As the Women in Cybersecurity study indicates, mentorship is correlated with the success and satisfaction of women at all levels. Lift Mentoring relationships are intended to offer support and encouragement in defining and achieving career goals, managing work-life integration, and developing and advancing professionally.

EWF members can enroll as mentors or mentees. Sign in to your EWF CONNECT account.

Non-members with 6+ years of experience can participate as mentors only by creating a Guest Account here. Once approved, you will be able to join Lift using your new EWF CONNECT guest credentials.

If you already have a Lift Mentoring profile, please log in and update your profile by selecting “Yes” to confirm your interest in participating in the Winter 2026 program and agreeing to the terms outlined in your profile.

Lift Mentoring

By participating in the Lift Mentoring program, you will:

  • Accelerate personal success 
  • Sharpen skills and presence while increasing your effectiveness and readiness for promotion 
  • Prepare to lead at all levels 
  • Foster one-to-one connections and relationships 
  • Harness the wealth of knowledge and experience of our community 
  • Impact the underrepresentation and underutilization of women in information security, risk management, privacy, and related industries

Requirements

6-Month Time Frame
  • Winter Program: January – June
  • Summer Program: July – December
Once Per Month
  • Participants commit to meeting for 45-60 minutes per month
Goal Oriented
  • Mentees identify goals at the beginning as a foundation for monthly discussions

Who Can Participate

EWF Members can enroll as mentors or mentees. Non-Members can participate as mentors only.

We encourage women with 6+ years of experience to consider being a mentor. We provide on demand learning to support your development as a mentor. Being a mentor is a leadership development opportunity and helps to support the pipeline of women in our field.


Time Commitment and Matching Process

Time Commitment

The Lift Mentoring program is a 6-month commitment.

After the 6-month program, you’re welcome to stay in touch, meet occasionally, or continue conversations—whatever works for you and your mentoring partner. While ongoing connection is optional, we encourage formally wrapping up your monthly sessions to allow both of you to be matched with new participants in the next round.

Matching Process

All applicants will create a profile, with mentors identifying their areas of expertise and mentees outlining their areas of focus and program goals. Matching will be based on alignment of strengths and interests, rather than functional roles. Mentees will only have one mentor. Once the mentor and mentee attend training, the connection can officially begin.

Participate as a Mentee

Participating as a mentee is a EWF Member exclusive opportunity that, through a six-month mentee/mentor connection, inspires our members to pursue their interests, build a trusted professional network, define and achieve their career goals, and navigate work/life integration challenges.  

You must be a current EWF CONNECT Member. If you are already a member, log in with your existing credentials. If you are not yet a member, please visit our membership page to join before signing up as a mentee.

Participate as a Mentor

Participating as a mentor is open to any professional with at least 6 years of expertise – no membership needed! The EWF provides on-demand learning to support your development as a mentor. Being a mentor is a leadership development opportunity and helps to support the pipeline of women in our field.

You must have either a current EWF CONNECT Member account or a Guest Account. If you are not a current member, please create a Guest Account by visiting the Guest Account registration page and completing the form. Your Guest Account will be approved within 4 business hours. Once approved, you will be able to log in using your new credentials.
