Submission Guidelines and Tips

All submissions must follow these guidelines and tips to ensure alignment with the EWF’s mission and seven pillars.

Company Approval 

  • If your submission references your company, or internal data, you must have authorization from your organization to include that information 
  • EWF is not responsible for any content submitted without company approval 
  • If you mention a company without permission, your submission will be rejected or removed. 

General Rules 

  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. 
  • Align your submission with at least one of EWF’s seven pillars 
  • Priority given to members and individuals from EWF benefactor companies 
  • Submissions must focus on challenges, strategies, and lessons learned without promoting or endorsing a specific company, product, or solution 
  • Use clear, professional formatting appropriate for a web audience 
  • Include links to credible sources where applicable 
  • Contributors must be directly involved in creating the content.  Summaries or recaps of existing work are allowed only if they are written in your own words, provide a unique perspective, and properly cite the original source. 
  • Submissions may be drafted with the assistance of AI tools; however, contributors are responsible for ensuring that the content is original, accurate, properly attributed, and aligned with EWF’s mission and pillars. 
  • Ensure the article, blog, or resource is polished, clear, and error-free. 
  • Follow word count or format guidance specific to each submission type (see below) 

News & Insights 

  • Purpose: Share thought leadership, unique perspectives, or original research to inform and inspire our members 
  • Content Types: Articles, blogs, insight reports 
  • Requirements: 
  • Recommended length: 600–800 words 
  • Titles should be clear and under 75 characters 
  • Third-person voice; avoid “you” or promotional language 
  • Summaries or recaps of existing content must offer a fresh perspective and link to the original source 
  • Ensure readability with short paragraphs, headers, and bullet points where appropriate. 

Tips for Insight Reports 

  • Include a clear summary tailored to the EWF audience, highlighting the unique perspective your report provides. 
  • Focus on practical applications and guidance that members can act on immediately. 

Note: This content will be published publicly on the EWF website. 

Resource Library 

  • Purpose: Provide actionable tools that members can use immediately to support leadership, teams, or organizational initiatives 
  • Content Types: Toolkits, templates, checklists, frameworks, guides, insight reports with actionable summaries 
  • Requirements: 
  • Clearly explain the problem the resource solves 
  • Include a short description of how it can be applied and its benefits 
  • Professional, polished, and clear formatting 
  • Submit in ready-to-use format 

Note: Content submitted for the Resource Library will be behind a member-only gate and accessible only to EWF members. However, some submissions may be featured as tools or resources for the entire EWF community. 

Review Process 

  • The EWF editorial team reserves the right to review and edit all submissions for alignment with mission, pillars, and community standards. And, may request edits prior to publication.  
  • Due to volume, you will be contacted only if your content is accepted 
  • Contributors are encouraged to refine and resubmit content if not accepted 

Contributor Expectations 

  • Submissions are voluntary; no compensation is provided 
  • Contributions are an opportunity to share expertise, build visibility, and support a global leadership community 

Final Recommendations 

  • Speak authentically and with authority based on your real-world experience. 
  • Focus on lessons learned and practical guidance. 
  • Review your submission carefully to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance before submitting.
